Nursery Employee Needed

Job Opening


Southeastern Native is looking for an employee.   Position would be part of all aspects of nursery production.  Tasks would include everything from hand weeding to delivery truck driver.  Assist with transplanting, propagation, fertilization, and growing of native trees and shrubs. Position requires labor-centric work and some heavy lifting. Must be able to work well with others as a team and must be self motivated and capable of working independently. Knowledge of plants and tractor operation a plus, but not required.  Located 20 minutes from downtown Asheville.

Garden Services Team Member

BB Barns is looking for experienced gardeners with a passion for plants and people. The position includes regular garden maintenance, planting, pruning, annual install and design. The team also handles basic irrigation, lighting, drainage and wood line management. Successful candidates will have expertise in horticultural maintenance and customer service in addition to experience operating a dump truck, chainsaw, dingo and skid steer . Applicants should be familiar with residential irrigation repairs, low voltage landscape lighting as well as industry standards for plant care and garden maintenance.

Please do not apply if you do not meet the following requirements:
1. Have at least 2 years experience in the landscape industry
2. Have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Learn the basics of the USDA National Organic Program. Interactive presentation followed by Q&A for medicinal herb operations, greenhouses, organic wild harvesting, and certified forest grown. Updated state and federal cost-share programs, Certifying Agents available in western NC, as well as free organic certification consulting opportunities thru CFSA will be discussed.
