Nursery Management Workshop
Plan on joining us at an exciting workshop for nursery producers on February 19th. We will start the workshop with a short tour at Highland Creek Nursery, in Hooper's Creek/Fletcher to look at some cover crop research and then proceed to the Mountain Horticulture Crops Research Station, in Mills River for a sponsored dinner and two presentations. The presentation will include a presentation co-delivered by Meghan Baker, Buncombe County Small Farms Agent and Dr. Jill Sidebottom, Conifer IPM Extension Specialist, on Protecting Native Pollinators in Nurseries; and a presentation from our dinner sponsor, Willie Pennington, from BASF about some of the new crop protectant products from BASF. Pesticide Credits have been applied for, for this workshop!
