The Potting Shed is one of the
premier landscape design/build/maintenance companies in the greater
Asheville/Hendersonville area. Since 1995, we have helped our clients transform

We pride ourselves in maintaining the highest standards by integrating our
knowledge in horticulture, creative design, and industry leading landscape
techniques.
Currently, we are searching for
motivated individual to join our expanding team. Prospective candidate must
have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and desire to learn and
grow. Our projects range from backyard renovations to paver driveways to large
scale commercial installations. This is a full time working position leading a
crew of 3-4. The chosen candidate must have at least 1-3 years of experience in
landscape installation/maintenance. We're looking for a team player who can
communicate effectively with clients as well as co-workers in effort to create
a truly remarkable finished product. Workmanship and attention to detail are
paramount. We offer very competitive rates and pay will be dependent on
experience.
Preferably at least one year
experience as a landscape foreman/crew leader
Knowledge of regional plant
material - Identification, proper planting and pruning techniques, proper soil
preparation
Experience installing paver
driveways, walkways, and patios - must know how operate laser level
Experience and knowledge of proper
construction practices constructing retaining walls (block, natural stone,
wood)
Experience on riding mowers, walk
behinds and weed eaters
Excellent safety record and
proficient with Skid steers, Dingos, chainsaws, bricksaws - experience with
track hoe a plus
A positive attitude and ability
to work in a team environment
Excellent organizational and
record keeping skills
Strong problem solving skills and
ability to multi-task
Excellent communication and
customer service skills
Ability to maneuver a trailer
Valid driver's license with a
clean driving record
Ability to speak Spanish a plus
but not necessary
