Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader

Gardens for Living is recruiting the best of the best. For this position at least 2 years landscaping experience and experience driving a truck and trailer is required (valid drivers license and clean driving record also required). Also required is the ability to operate mowing equipment and a general working knowledge of how to care for mowing equipment. Good working knowledge of horticulture and a knowledge of proper landscape maintenance schedules is essential.

Daily Job duties will include but are not limited to: Supervising your team, operating mowers/weedeater/blower and other lawn equipment, pruning and caring for plants, fertilizing plants and lawn areas, mulching and edging, completing paperwork necessary to invoice customers and anything else required to take the best care of every property. This is a working crew leader position.

Commercial Pruning Classes

Pruning as an IPM Tool

The North Carolina Arboretum - Certified Plant Professional Training Garden
February 18th, 2016 - 1-4pm
or February 25th, 2016 - 1-4pm



Pruning as an Integrated Pest Management Tool -

Class will focus on the proper ways to prune various types of plants, including trees, shrubs, and vines. Class will divide into three groups focusing on each subject matter for one hour and then switching to cover each focus area. Two dates are offered for this course, but the same material will be covered. Please choose one date to attend.

The class will cost $10 for materials. Fee is payable by cash or check to the Henderson County Cooperative Extension Office (100 Jackson Park Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28792). Please identify participants name and contact information if fee is to be mailed.

*** 2 hrs of NC Pesticide License credit is available for categories G, L, N, D, and X.

*** NC LC Credits have been applied for.
